World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades give players the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already have. This can be done at any item upgrader NPC.
Generally, upgrades boost an item's main stat and give it extras depending on the item type. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs and Goldwrap for build casters.
Armour
Link's armor is a crucial element in keeping him safe from danger. While it cannot be upgraded like weapons, it can be improved in different ways to increase its defence capabilities.

The principle of armour is to shield the person or animal from physical harm or injury in the form of direct physical attack or various dangers to the environment or activity. Historically, armour was mostly made of leather or fabric, but later metal protections were also used, especially in military applications like heavy cavalry or combat drones.
There are a variety of ways to upgrade armour, but the majority of them require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own level of upgrades available, with more granting greater levels of protection, and require a higher price in rupees and the materials needed to unlock.
First, Armor Upgrades are permanent upgrades. Once they've been applied, they can't be removed in the event that you own a piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the most effective level of upgrades to your equipment and that you have enough of the necessary materials to complete the upgrade.
You can find the upgrade components you require in a variety locations throughout Hyrule. These include merchants, shrines and even enemies. They are usually marked with a gold circle or a blue triangle, and are available in large numbers as you progress through the game. While they might appear randomly, there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrade components will result in a quest that will reward players with more.
It is also important to note that, even though the level of protection provided by each upgrade varies however, it's the same across all upgrades and will always be superior to nothing. This is because a complete set of upgraded armour will provide you with a substantial defense boost that will protect you from all forms of attacks, excluding magic and makes it a formidable tool for any type of.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades to make them truly unique. These upgrades can boost damage or alter the performance of the weapon to suit your build. They can also unlock new attachments, such as unique enchantments, various types of ammo, and aesthetic options.
You'll require both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon must be at a certain level for the upgrade to take effect and most weapons can only take one upgrade at a time.
Weapon upgrade components are available all over the world from the enemy or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are a mix of components that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an attribute bonus or additional effect while they're in use. The equipment must be at a certain level in order to accept the upgrade. It is able to be upgraded in the same way as other items.
Upgrades are a mixture of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They can be used to boost the effectiveness of weapons and improve their scaling with other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open world or from merchants. They can also be obtained through combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji located in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon as well as an upgrade.
It's crucial to prioritize upgrading your most-used items first, followed by those you won't be replacing soon. If you're playing in a melee-based build, for instance, upgrade your weapon, then your shoulders and chest followed by your hands and feet. The same principle goes for Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that certain procs may be better than others based on the style of play you prefer. Armour is not any different, with some Reforges being better than others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item at a time. If item upgrading is cancelled, any subsequent upgrades for the item won't begin. Magic items that are upgraded cost twice the amount of gold they normally cost to make or purchase however they may provide additional advantages.
A magical item can be any item that has special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but there are some that are also armor, shields as well as cloaks, potions scrolls, rings and other items. Some of these items have a sense of being.
Most magic items can be upgraded to be enhanced with new abilities. This makes them more useful to players, or could help them conquer any difficult situation. An infused weapon might provide an additional amount of damage to a specific enemy type, for example. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached a stage at which they are likely to encounter the same kind of monster repeatedly in dungeons.
A ring that is infused with magic may give immunity to non-magical attacks that bludgeon or pierce or slash (excluding silver-based attacks) until the character is given a second rest. This is particularly beneficial for melee martial characters or any other character who wants to avoid the cost and hassle of purchasing an armor.
Some enchanted items have special abilities that let the character cast spells in addition to the ones on their class's list of spells. This can be useful for characters who have difficulty maintaining their spell slots because of multiclassing. These items that are enchanted typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check to use, and the spell is determined by rolling an index based on the number of Intelligence points expended.
Other items that are enchanted can allow the user to alter their appearance, or even create an entirely new one. They can be especially useful for those who have to leave their homes, or who are in a place where they may not be accepted. An item that is magical can grant them an invisibility effect, or make them invisible to all except a chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are equipment that don't fall into the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons and offer various capabilities. In contrast to weapons and armor and Clothing, no utility item can conflict with another. The majority of utility items have a passive effect which players can activate by using them. However, some of them have additional abilities that are activated by pressing a button or activating the skill.
The most popular type of utility item is the Flashlight, which illuminates the surrounding area. Other utilities include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Several utilitarian items can be quickly manufactured in the Engineering section while others are unlockable through research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to those that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded to allow greater effectiveness.
The majority of utility items give players an advantage in navigation or enhance a specific combat ability. For instance, sharpening stones crafted by the Weaponsmith increase Ferocity and Power and Maintenance Oils made by the Huntsman improve the concentration and healing power. Other items that are useful can be used by the player to increase Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers can be equipped with a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Eventually, an additional slot is made available through the use of certain types armor or by completing engineering, research or other projects in the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are created by equipping the Grenade Launcher which allows the player to equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot, while an offensive grenade can be placed in the main grenade slot.
